Grandpa gives the best hugs

During the Covid lockdowns I did a series of small works titled ‘Hugs’, as they were something we were all missing at the time. These works were all developed from found images – a rarity for me, as I usually only use my own reference. But as we were not really seeing other people in the normal way – using found reference seemed more appropriate. I was looking to capture the warmth, and connection a hug creates.
